The most important notes in every Rock Band song are the so-called “Overdrive” notes. “Overdrive” notes are shiny white notes that appear in a streak of 5-10, and the successful completion of the streak results in a strong charge-up power meter being filled. Not only does each streak add to your overall multiplier, but it also allows you to activate your “Overdrive” power, which doubles your score multiplier for a short time. This power is a necessity for passing songs on the highest difficulty levels, and it also makes the virtual crowd go wild.
